Depends on what it is really. If it's just another console, it may flop harder than Wii U no matter how powerful they make it.
If it's something like a console and handheld hybrid like some suggest, it may do well if it brings something different to the table. They would have to absolutely impress with the hardware and have games ready, not delays and excuses.
