I don't understand why there is a feeling the WiiUs game library is limited.
Nintendo put out quality versions of all of their IPs on WiiU with the one exception of a Zelda title.
I own 26 WiiU titles and could easily buy a few more to push me over 30 if I knew I had the time to play them. That doesn't include the few more yet to be released this year.
The WiiU has a solid library and has only missed something the past few Nintendo home consoles have also largely missed; big 3rd party games.
It has run its course and needs to be replaced. They need a new streamlined platform to bridge their content onto a single platform, open up their systems for 3rd parties, and allow a more frequent cost effective way to modernize their hardware as technology and competition changes.
