| fleischr said: Nintendo left a LOT on the table this E3 for WiiU. And by that, I mean they left out a lot of pending announcements for WiiU --- unannounced. There's a lot they could show that they just, didn't. No Zelda WiiU footage Stated this one They made no mention of Platinum Games involvement with Star Fox Zero during the digital event. stupid move on their part No announcement about anything Retro Studios is doing we have 2 more days of E3 and nintendo announced things last year during treehouse No updates on Fatal Frame, Devil's Third, or Project Treasure (are they excluding M-rated titles from Directs now?) again tree house. Itagaki will probably be there with a release date No updates on Project Guard or Project Giant Robot (cancelled?) stated in the digital conference or treehouse that they are still in development No announcement about Tantalus's mystery WiiU project No announcements about rumored WiiU titles from Headstrong, Next Level, or Intelligent systems I think intelligence is far too busy to be working on much tbh, Nothing Nico Wav (leaker of Pokemon OR/AS, Devils Third) has predicted earlier for WiiU in 2015 has panned out yet (3 new 3rd party exclusives Ninty white-knights plus a remaster) Nothing from nobody on Shadow of the Eternals, which only convinces me further that it's some kind of Nintendo exclusive (WiiU or NX) we wont see NX for another year and it wont launch until 2017 the earliest and in can and probably will be a handheld.
Considering many of these 2nd party partners were last known to be active on the WiiU in 2013 (early 2014 for Retro Studios, but we know their next project started in late 2013) there had to have been more things Nintendo could show, but didn't. So I figure if nothing of this pans out for WiiU by Gamescom, many projects are transitioning from WiiU to NX in some fashion. |
