Because there are still a lot of great games coming to Wii U and 3DS this year. Only, especially in the case of Wii U, we already knew this.
But XCX, Star Fox, Yoshi, and Mario Maker are some outstanding games to be released this year. And there are supporting titles like Devils Third, Fatal Frame, Mario Tennis, Rodea the Sky Soldier, Mario and Sonic at Rio, the AC party game (Ok this doesn't look good, although I can see it being well received in Japan). Also new Smash content and Earthbound beginings!
Also I thought 3ds was pretty good. Zelda Triforce is like 4 swords, which was awesome. The mario RPG will be good as well. Yokai Watch this holiday could have an impact.
Despite the weird choices Nintendo sometimes make they are still, in my opinion, easily the best developer out there.
