What do you mean the ps1 classic money went to sony first, ps one classics sales were no differnt to any other game sales, platform holder takes 30% the rest goes to publisher.

ITs the same process for both, neither sony or MS can just put up old games for sale, they need the publisher to say they want them up there first. For digital games this will be less of an issue as there still for sale on 360, but for disk games, the publishers will need to set there price check for any licensing issues(this was the biggest issue on ps1 games) and also decide if they really want to give away the chance of a HD remake in the future.

Sony sold games that weren't sold anymore officially. I don't know how much money goes to publishers in any way, do you have a link for 30%? But again, it is totally different, as you can see in my first sentence.

And there are still answers missing for the questions I asked in the reply at the beginning of this discussion.

Either way, the talk is useless as this turns out to be a defending discussion instead of a technical discussion and I am not interested in that, at least not really. In my opinion, publishers will allow this more than many people think and I already explained why. If it turns out to be false, so be it.

30% is just the standard cut platform holders take on all game sales on there stores, i know this from working in the industry sorry i cant link you to any official documents, i obviously havent dealt with BC games for XBO yet, but there is no reason the cut would be any differnt. It never has been for anything else.

You ask me for answers to your question, sorry i cant link to a report the knowledge comes from using the service and being part of the community and giving feedback on why so few games ever got released and why we had to wait sooo long for games like resident evil 2 and 3 in europe.

But then you give statements like "Btw, with PSOne Classics the money went to Sony first. Here no money goes to MS," Which is completly false with no evidence,
