Yes, I am convinced of this.
Thus the Waterloo comment (Napolean went all or nothing in that battle). They are going to lay all their cards on the deck with the NX (Which I think we be a console that is more heavily integrated with their handheld, I take it as they are merging their branding, and trying to offer a more seamless experiance between their handheld and console). They will launch(or have available in the 1st year) with Zelda (which I think will be ZeldaU), a 3d Mario, and a pokemon game.
Basically I dont believe the NX is one product, but rather a line of products function together (hell, it might even have a "Steam" like PC platform with it). I dont know how the entire product line will fair, but I am predicting the console will have minimal success. If they build the entire line around the console it could drag the entire concept down with it.
Also, just because Nintendo is profitable does and has good cash flow does not mean they wont go 3rd party. They will go with what they see as the most profitable route. IMO Nintendo would be better served by focusing their talents on making good game that are not limited by their own poor hardware choices. Can you imagine how well Zelda, Mario, etc would do on the PS4? I dont think the WiiU's failure has as much to do with people not liking Nintendo's games and characters as much as them not liking the hardware (and the lack of other than Nintendo software choices on it).
