What "facts" do you have to counter my OP?

How is having your own console helping profits at this point? Having your own console makes you money when 3rd parties are selling games on it(where it stands now 3rd parties sell almost nothing on the WiiU) , you rake in the royalties, also when you have subscription services that are successful like XBL and PS+. And obviously you dont have to pay royalties to yourself.

I am sure if Nintendo went third party they could get a really sweet deal on royalies from MS or Sony for exclusivity, and with selling their games on such a huge user base would surely net them more profit.

Going console 3rd party would not prevent them from being successful in the handheld realm.

What facts do I have? LOL!

What facts do I not have.

For starters you should read Nintendo's investors briefings over the past 2 years. I won't repeat what you can read on your own. But to summarize, the NX isn't a home console or a handheld. It's a family of devices that share the same library. It will therefore have at least a 1st party library equivalent to their handheld line and home console lines combined.

Do you actually think that a console with such a huge library will perform like the DC just because you like to compare the U to a Saturn because it isn't being supported this year? So, do you now realize how foolish your OP sounds now?

dont be so literal.

Another way of saying what I meant is the NX will be Nintendo's Waterloo. I kept it with a gaming reference.

My point is, the NX will fail commercially and it will force Nintendo to go 3rd party (where I believe they could have huge success)
