I suppose this is a good point. I suppose I was focusing more on the volume and demographic of the new 3DS games when compared to the Wii U games as opposed to the reusing of assets. That said, the new games on both platforms seem to deliberately be reusing assets from games, with the exception of the new "Metroid" game.
I do think it is undeniable that they are winding down on both platforms, but it seems that they are deliberately trying to get more out of the 3DS than they are out of the Wii U, for obvious reasons.
