Actually the people that didn't know Shenmue grew up in a world where Shenmue 3 is a myth mentionned by "old timers" (lol).
Yes, a lot of people who were watching the show never played Shenmue. But every gamer at heard about the "myth".
I'm not a religious person, but if i saw jesus on the street, i would call it a miracle. Shenmue 3 is a miracle. Also best marketing for a kickstarter campaign EVER.
