BBC has an intersting looking TV Series based on a novel called Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell:
I plan on watching it soon after I finish some other series. It looks well acted with some nice actors and nice special effects.
SyFy has another TV Series based on another novel called The Magicians which has been described as "Harry Potter for adults" or whatever:
I am not completely sold on this one but I'll check it out.
And lastly, one I do have seen and can recommend, you have American Horror Story Season 3: Coven. American Horror Story is an anthology series in which every season is a differrent story so no need to watch the first ones to enjoy the third.
The third season is about this coven of witches and their magic twisted into horror:
Found it hard to get a hold of a proper trailer so I picked that one.
These series aren't films but there you have something with magic.
