I dont think its because ND dont want to make Uncharted games anymore. Its more to do with the franchise has hit a dead end. Some games you can only do so much with before they become repetitive. God of War and Gears Of War are also in the same boat. Great games but after awhile the story hits an end. I think what MS did with 343 and Turn 10 are excellent ideas. Make a company sololy for that franchise and hire the passionate devs that want to continue to grow the franchise. Devs can get bored making the same games over and over again and in many cases they tend to leave or the company makes something else which can be a good and also a bad thing. Having a dedicated company just for Uncharted means the devs behind the brand know what there working on. I fear with Uncharted it doesnt have the density to grow. What happens after Nathan Drake? Is the next plot better or worse because many devs wont continue unless they know its just as good as there previous games. In this case ND dont see a future with Uncharted anymore, the next character in line wont be as good or fun as Nathan etc. Its all my opinion but alot of my faverite games end because some times the story just cant continue without ruining the franchise or going backwards. FInish on a high i reakon and move onto something else.
