IMO 720p native rendering at rock solid 30 FPS should have been the minimum for HD consoles (optimise to be at least on this level).
That is definitely something we can agree on, I'd just add that some genres really require 60 fps. Mario Kart Wii is so much better at 60 fps than 30 fps (you can compare by running normal vs splitscreen online play).
