I think the thing is, unless we get to see XBO games running directly in the Occulus (and not the streaming stuff they showed)... then I think all speculation that this will be a sony killer etc is just a mute point.
At the moment it is a PR stunt, it hasn't really given them that much except being mentioned + controller sales. The minute I see Forza running in an oculus with the oculus running directly off the XBO, then I will change my mind and say that it's a fantastic move from MS.
