I never said a word about innovation. The gist of my point was when Sony does something Microsoft isnt far behind with a response. If I was running Microsoft I would've ignored Morpheus until it yeilded results (which I doubt it will on a large scale). MS has the hololens and even the boss admitted it was too far ahead of its time, but lets just partner with oculus because...you know.

When you said, "Sony makes hardware so making new tech comes naturally to them." To me that implies they're innovative, something they rarely are.

You're lacking common sense at the moment. If MS gets involved with VR tech after Morpheus does well, they will be late to the party. Especilly if its just a fad.

Sony has flatout stole ideas from its competitors because... you know. So lets just move on maybe.

Switching to the offensive, huh?

MS is responding to the all VR hype with the oculus deal. It's a easy and fast way to jump on the VR bandwagon. Hololens is AR and it's not a good counter to VR by itself. It's something that makes the xbox one stand out amoungst it's competitors though. It's has interesting potential but not as much potential as full VR tech.
