Wow - due to that number on GOG (100% goes to CDPR) and most of other PC sales being on Steam (70% goes to CDPR), it seems that PC is most profitable platform for Witcher, even though it sold less than PS4.

In the case of CDPR maybe but the simple fact that PS4 outsold PC in a game that was PC centric and never was on PS before shows why Third parties are biased towards console and release their games first on consoles and then on PC(or never).

Full priced games, specially the ones that don't have tradition on PC like TW or GTA,don't sell well on PC until it gets a heavy price cut.

I made a thread about this a year ago and most people disagreed with me back then. The witcher's numbers only prove that i was right!

Yeah, never said that consoles don't sell better than PC for AAA, always was, probably always will be (MMOs being obvious exception).

I was expressing my surprise that half of PC sales are on GOG, which is great for them, since 1 for 1 that really makes them a lot more money than either Steam or retail. Actually, every sale on GOG is, if it's to believe those various 'game price anatomies' worth 2 sales in retail in net profit, and it's no wonder why all the big publishers want their digital distribution platforms.

Isn't this offset by pricing though? I though steam and GOG prices are a lot cheaper then console retail and digital

No, for Witcher 3 it's the same price as retail (thoough both GOG and Steam are currently 10% off).

EDIT: Ah, it seems that physical copies have GOG codes, which explains a lot - so, definitely not all those GOG sales are actually GOG digital sales.
