I was feeling the same way when I was writing this up. Likely due to time, it wasn`t possible to have them as playable characters, and I was hoping too they could be free dlc added later..? I suppose also the drive of the game are the inkling characters, so the Octarians would sort of impose on that.
Also, I agree on their designs. ; ) They are also really great. The team did a good job on designs.
