Heya everyone, Cloudman here. Back with another thread. It`s been a lil while, but there was something I wanted to discuss, which I don`t think has been brought up, so I wanted to do that! : ) So yeah, let`s get into it.
So recently, I got Splatoon and even beat the single player campaign! (By the way, everyone who has the game should play the SP just for the final boss. It`s so great! Actually, the whole thing is great. Just play it! x ) ) Surprisingly, the campaign was really great, having a sort of Mario feel to it, which each stage having its own gimmick to overcome. While I played through it all, there was a question that kept coming back to me:
Why aren`t the Octopus girl characters playable too?
(And why are they only girls for that matter? o: But that`s another topic.) I know the game is about playing as the squids, which is cool! I love those characters. But so are the Octolings. They definitely give off a tough, cool vibe for them. And they have shown to work well as functional characters. So why not have them as a selectable?
Squid? Kid? Naw bro, it`s all about those Octolings ; )
Thinking on it now, having them selectable would be kinda odd, since they are the bad guys of the game, and having them mixed with the inklings in the main hub area would be weird, but maybe if there is a 2nd game, they could be made as a 2nd selectable group to choose? : ) At least it would make this more sensable...
I thought we were all good guys...? : (
So what do you think? Would you like to be an octo too? Or are squids where it`s at???? : D
