binary solo said: From that Venture Beat Article "After the Xbox One surprised everyone by outselling thePS4 in April, Sony has come charging back to own hardware sales in May, according to data from research firm The NPD Group. The Japanese publisher has confirmed to GamesBeat that its PS4 system outsold the competition in the United States, which is where NPD tracks sales. With the $55 billion worldwide console-gaming market up for grabs, it’s essential for Sony to keep its lead in sales." These people are pretty stupid. the worldwide console market isn't up for grabs, so it's not essential for Sony to keep its sales lead in the USA. AND Xb one winning April was not a surprise to anyone who tracks Amazon. But I also note the only direct Sony quote is “PS4 continues to be the cumulative sales leader in the US and globally with more than 20 million consoles already in the market,” When Sony says "cumulative sales leader" that usually means another console was #1 for the month. So has VB misinterpretted Sony's statement or has there been more definitive confirmation? |
No Sony have been saying that pretty much all the time when they win and when they dont.
