Ppl are claiming this free content is DLC done right, when it is neither DLC and is obviously free content (if it comes off the disc that is).

Your amiibo argument really doesnt change the fundamental truth: you are paying in order to have the right to to use the content in question., otherwise you would not be able to use everything on the disc you own.

Other companies were chasisted for similar practices. Granted Nintendo`s Splatoon attempt (and to other degrees both STEAM and MP10) are arguably less offensive, but it does not change it for what it is.

Except you've flat out admitted that how Splatoon is doing things is not as bad which is the whole point, the Amiibo content is merely the single player game only with parameters like use this weapon and so on, you still have access to the content Amiibo just puts a slight spin on it. Amiibo's are collectibles with incentives not DLC with a figure argue the fundamental all you like it doesn't deter that Amiibo's have support across various games and platforms.

People can claim that it's DLC you know why? Because other companies have charged for on disc content, games like MVC3 had Shuma and Jill on disc and people still had to pay, by default it's already better then such practices.
