As far as I'm aware the criteria for becoming a mod wasn't your history, your gender, your race or whatever you do. It was whether or not you would be a good moderator. Being permabanned or nearly permabanned, leaving the site etc. is irrelevant if you could be a good mod. That's why there's so many mods who were added this time.

As DerNebel already said, it's kinda funny because of how things went and how fast. Nobody is saying that she won't be a good mod.
