Is price a major factor in poor 3DS/Wii U sales compared to GBC/N64 & GBA/GC?

come on a lot more people were more vocal about it boosting sales than the other way around, which is why i brought it up. Not looking for a response just reminding people

And as we have seen countless times, people who hype up things on forums aren't exactly representative of the overall market. Who was it claiming 2DS was going to be a super massive success? Probably the same people who hype up any and every product Nintendo makes.
