I want to say yes, because that's what I whish to happen. But without even so much as NA numbers for the game, I really can't.
My suspicion is that the relative strengh of splatoons HW bump in japan is largely due to Mario Kart 8s very underwhelming bump in the region. The bump in NA and europe was more in line with what's expected from mario kart so I'm not expecting a bigger bump from Splatoon in those regions really. I hope I'm wrong though! ;P
