Whats ironic is ppl claiming how Nintendo is giving them free content when said content is already on the disc you own.

The fact that anyone actually thinks Nintendo is doing you a favour here, or that this content is infact free DLC is laughable at best.

They are not only withholding content for you to use until they say so, but the content was advertised as free DLC when its not (unless of course newer content is in fact downloadable) and that doesnt even take into account the content that is on disc that requires you to pay extra to actually access.

So yeah, you are right that other companies have bad DLC practices. But honestly, Nintendo is not not some revolutionary company here. How Splatoon content is being released... I can see the positives to it of course.

But if you really want to talk about getting free content go and buy DriveClub and see what actual free DLC updates every month for 6 months is like.

Except companies like Capcom and EA have had content on disc and actually charged people and they're far from the only ones as well.
