Bayonetta 2, the best game on WiiU has not reached 1m sales.
Sunset Overdrive, the best game on XB1 has not reached 1m sales.
Sunset OverDrive could have done way better on WiiU and Bayonetta would have been a hit on XB1
The reason why BloodBorne (the best PS4 game) did so well its because Sony realized what their target audience wanted.
Its not about getting third party exclusives just because, its about studying the market.
With that being said, ZombieU was a terrible choice for the console, in the other hand Splatoon was perfect.
