That's just my hunch based on the past (specifically FFXII), and the different focus and presentation of the modern trailers. They've gone from dark, emotional and brooding to light, fun and upbeat. The music, art-style and character interactions point to a lighter and more upbeat game than the older trailers did. The new trailers (and demo) are now more in line with recent Final Fantasy titles in mood than Versus ever was. Tabata has also admitted that Versus and XV are different games. The changes that have been made up to this point do suggest a more mainstream presentation. |
There is virtually no change at all to the music and the "art style" changes point more to the ability of the platform to render more. Things last generation were often darker to help cover some of the inability to show HQ environments and systems.
We shall get to see more soon I hope. We already know the portion you play in the demo isn't actually in the game, so there's a lot we haven't seen.
