When I first got the original xenoblade on the wii I was blown away by the amazing graphics and feel of the game but as I played at times I wasn't enjoying it that much and didn't like the combat. Still there were great moments that justified the time spent and I was enjoying the characters and story. It was a flawed game for me and certainly not a favourite game of mine.
I suspect I might have the same reaction to X but lets face it there aren't many games on wii u that push the hardware and this is the best there is. I'm hoping I will enjoy combat more than the original. Perhaps my slightly negative experiences with the original will help me with my expectations of this game. Sometimes its good not to raise your expectations too high. To me it looks like a technically amazing game (for wii u) with a few gameplay issues.
