You seem to keep forgetting ASDA were not realling selling the console anyway.   They announced this 2 years ago.  This is not new.  What worldwide damage to Wii U sales is this really going to do?

Many other retailers following them taking off Nintendo products considering the same abysmal sales.

Oh, and BTW, this was the UK for the Wii. NOt exactly a small limited market for Nintendo:
