Mute main character and create your own character rpg usually dont have a great story, it relies on gameplay mechanic especially open world quest mechanic in XCX case. If they cannot create unique quest and mission or repeating the same thing over and over, then maybe some gamers will feel some boredom on this games world which is really huge. Unless they create a lot of content which is not the same thing over and over. I haven't play the game yet, but my friend who got the game said the game feel like Monster Hunter Games meat Star Ocean with armored core mecha. It's different from the previous Xenoblade which is have a great stories and fix main character my friend said.
