I'd say bind faith is more like individuals such as ThaBlackBar0n, and his followers, on youtube, who hear Nintendo is releasing a new game and automatically declare it to be the next mesiah, even if it's not an established franchise.

I saw what you did there, I read the connotations about Splatoon, you don´t need to hide it , and it has nothing to do with that. I had intuition with this game since day one and... yeah, i was right, and I knew it all the time.
The thing is I wouldn´t bought a WiiU because "is going to deliver, I´m sure", that is a terrible reason to buy a console, I bought one whe I saw a good amount of games that I wanted on it and some games that were coming in few months, I dont believe long term promises and I don´t fall to the hype of CGI trailers for games that are coming in 2 years, and now, that´s all people is doing, because they want to believe, that´s all.
Sony always deliver, tell that to their new legacy console, PSVita.

That's the thing though. You bought the wii u for the exact same reasons why a lot of people bought the PS4. It has nothing to do with blind faith. You have a long history with the brand and you know that it will have the majority games of the games you want to play eventually. It's just that the playstation brand has a lot more appeal to a larger group of people.
Could you just drop the downplaying, please? Handhelds are not consoles/home consoles.
