Tesco are the same in the UK, they analyse every shelf to see how it performs, if its not paying its way they will phase out that line and replace it with something else. They make adjustments for seasonal stock etc. I'm sure Asda/Walmart are the same always checking to see how much value is tied up in stock that isn't selling. Both shops are generally quite poor value for games unless there is a promotion on. It makes sense to reduce space for wii u products because its a niche format in the uk. You see a lot more ps3 and 360 titles plus of course ps4 and xbone nowadays. Nearer to Christmas wii u games and consoles will return.
