I played it like 3 months after it came out, and found it to be one of the better AC games. Maybe the best since 2.
Still I'm growing rather tired of the series as a whole. There's just no real innovation, and sense of continuity in the franchise anymore. Will probably take a long break from this series now, but I'm glad to have Unity be the last one I played.
