A Link Between World is a recycled ALTTP. What new areas? Overworld is basically the same. Dungeons? Same ideas: Fire, Ice, Darkness. Story? Basically the same as ALTTP (dual world). And Tingle's games are spinoffs, Link's Crossbow Training, etc. In the end those are just spinoffs. I have the three remakes, MM3D the worst. It doesn't change the fact that those games are not original. And I talked for the fans that wants new content, you clearly don't. So I don't get why did you quote my comment. |
Why did you bring up the Tingle DS games that came out years before the 3DS and Wii U? The same with Link's Crossbow training. This has nothing to do with the timeframe since the Wii U's inception to Zelda U. It is grasping at straws to make a point, a really flawed one at that.
MM3D is the worst remake in YOUR opinion. Again stop claiming that things are such. You do not even state reasons, you just blatantly try to state them as facts. All the remakes contain new content in the end, not just enhanced graphics. Plus both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask 3D were developed by Grezzo, thus taking the work load off Nintendo's hands so they can work on original Zelda titles.
I am beginning to think you have not even played A Link Between Worlds (or at least completed it) if you are implying that it is merely a replica of A Link to the Past.
New characters, new game mechanics (practically every item is upgradable, streetpass battles, wall merging mechanic), and yes new locations. Death Mountain has an excellent new interior; Zora's Domain and the temples are new. Even the random caves you stumble upon have new interiors.
Lorule has an actual town to speak of, not really something you could say of A Link to the Past's darkworld. I am not denying that the games are similar, but they are different. Your argument for dual world making it the same is silly. Ocarina of Time is the same because it features dual worlds (present-future), Twilight Princess too (Normal-Twilight). Same dungeon ideas too, forest, fire and water.
Ideas can be similar yet different. If you are expecting Zelda U to be completely different to every Zelda game, you are going to be extremely disappointed.
