While I agree that PS4 and Xbox One should be, at least partially, afraid, I don't not agree about Wii U. The first two sell their devices mainly with multiplatform games (rarely do things like Halo or Uncharted come out where you can only get it on one device). Most of the multiplat's on those two devices have another version (almost always superior) on PC (primarily via Steam). People don't own Wii U's to get the multiplatform games. People own Wii U's to play Nintendo exclusives. Now, the day Nintendo agrees to make their next device (maybe NX) a Steam machine that can play ANY steam game AND any Nintendo game is the day companies like sony and microsoft will ONLY be able to depend on customers that buy their extremely limited amount of exclusive first party software (therefore, the day they probably go out of the console business).
I truly believe that if Valve and Nintendo made some sort of exclusivity deal with each other, that Sony and Microsoft's gaming divisions would pretty much die unless they adapted by going Steam route as well.
