Eh, regular maps do the same regardless. Anyway, this thread is actually perfect for me since I'm developing a game right now and it's a parody of the genre. So I'm sure this will help me a lot with what people hate, for better or worse >:3 

Not all the time, and thus games that aren't able to pull this off *cough FFXIII cough* are exceptionally bad.
