Well, when society limits the ways a parent can punish their kid, the parents have to become creative. I don't see public shaming as abuse or a bad parenting move. They don't even know if that really lead to her suicide. All I know is that each generation is getting more out of control and more self-entitled while we are limited the ways they can raise/punish their kids.
