Not really. The 3DS has outsold the GBA, the PSP, the NES, the SNES, will outsell the PS2, will likely outsell the Wii and PS3 combined, and will outsell the Wii U, Vita and PS4 combined.
It's doing what typical market leaders in Japan do. Deal with it.
