That's the highest sell through I've ever seen for a game in Japan. Well, at least for a game that's 100k+ in sales (I'm sure it's not the highest though in actuality, but still impressive).
The demand was clearly there.
Edit: Also amazing amiibo sales! That means 2/3 people who picked up the game also picked up the triple pack.
