for me i will wait for benchmark and comment from all gaming and PC site, after all nobody knows, and also the price is still fluctuating. So it's wise if wait until AMD releasing it and tested. |
Absolutely, annoying that AMD hasn't dropped any more details yet, you'd think that they want to show consumers what they have, especially since most of these cards are set to release in mere weeks. It seems like a waiting game beteen AMD and Nvidia, they're sizing each other up and pondering where to place themselves on the price charts according to performance and expectations.
AMD have always been known as the cheaper alternative but also the weaker and "most annoying" (as in noisy and sporting far more driver issues) but it appears that DX12 actually benefits AMD builds more, and tests show a few of the flagship cards of Nvidia running surprisingly warm during load. Who knows what might happen in the next weeks?
If AMD releases card that is relatively kind on wattage, performs only slightly below the 980Ti (kind of between that and the GTX980) but at a much lower price, Nvidia have a case to deal with and may be forced to slice the price already to compete properly. Most gamers are concerned with value for money before absolute performance.
I guess we'll have to wait and see!
