I usually bought 200€ cards every 2 years and got my first expensive one in spring 2012 with a GTX 680 and I'm surprised how well it still does. More expensive cards can be worth it.


Yeah, I'm thinking that buying a 4GB top-of the line at the peak of their price points is kinda worthless now. If the 390X is indeed 8GB and matches the rumored benchmarks (beating the Titan X), then I'm going for it, noise and heat and driver issues be damned. Seems like it could be a damn good deal if pricing rumors are true (650-ish dollars at release, a good 100 below the 980Ti).
