You're doing it again. I am an adult and the 3DS and Wii U meet my "needs." I don't even see what "needs" have to do with it, you obviously don't "need" more power because you bought both of those systems at launch. I don't see how being an adult relates to requiring more power, either. Seems to me most people grow out of the desire for bigger numbers as they get older.
You're still missing the point because Wii U and New 3DS are still too expensive -- worse, there is a cheaper model of New 3DS available in every major territory except North America. Again, I cut the cost of the hardware down by one-third, far from a trivial amount when discussing a sum north of $500.
