It took Wii U, 2 years and 8 months, 3 holidays, two Mario games, MK, Smash, DK and "price cut" to reach 9.7M.
Even if Wii U had the exact same time ahead of it, it no longer has systems sellers besides Zelda.
Not to mention that soon enough Wii U will feel droughts with Nintendo focusing on developing for the next handheld and home console. Remember how great Wii's last two years were? Imagine what will happen when Nintendo is only able to release a few games per year...
