I knew about all of your points, and agree with them for the most part.

What a company did years ago has little to do with what makes best business sense today.

As for Sony, if morpheus is going to matter, it will need to be windows compatible.  If PSnow is going to matter long term, it will also need to be windows compatible.  The need for a console will only diminish over time.  Even as the need diminishes, that doesn't mean there won't be a need for a playstation of some type.

True, the XB1 is doing OK.  But, OK is far from making long term sense.  It's possible for another Xbox to come out, but I doubt it would be from MS.  It is more likely a licensing deal for someone else.

Thanks guy.

True, companies and management do change.  But sometimes the people at the top still have a great deal of influnce.

That's an interesting look at Morphus.  Do we have any idea how much it will cost?  If the numbers from Occulus Riff carry over then it will probably still be rather expensive.

I would even aruge to a point to Microsoft and Sony even make their console now?  They are both using for the most part, other manufacture to make the parts, assembly and packaging.

Perhapse Xbox will become something you license onto your central house PC, but the would mean we have grow beying the benefit of having dedicated hardware - which is why we even have consoles over just everyone PC gaming.   I just don't think we will be there yet, even in a decade.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
