I too used to believe that Nintendo could do N64 numbers, but after failing to avoid droughts Nintendo pretty much decided Wii U's fate. Even if there were other factors like brand confusion and marketing that helped seal that fate.
Is there a chance that Nintendo could surprise everyone with a must have game? Of course. No one really knows what Nintendo has planned.
