Competition I love competition. It's in my nature. Video games are a fun and fulfilling way of competing against myself or others, even if it is rainy outside.
Cooperation: If you are playing zombies with a friend per say, and if your actions and thoughts click perfectly, it feels amazing. #BroMoments
Community I've been exposed to interesting people from all walks of life and different spots on the globe just by playing online multiplayer, or perhaps meeting someone who shared the same passion I do. I've hit it off with a lot of them and we remain friends to this day. (And that was before I came here and met more Brosephs).
Challenge: Nothing feels better than completing something that you are focused intently on; whether that be
finishing chores or beating a hard boss.
Entertainment: Because they are fun! When I sit back and let my game time be play and not work, and when I ignore all the nagging from trophy lists and mission prompts; that is when I most enjoy gaming. Going straight into Red Dead Redemption and riding my horse around looking for trouble, or shutting off the lights, donning the AfterGlows, and seeing if I can beat Slender. True fun.
Narrative: If you have ever seen my top 5 (which I should really post someday) you will see that a great narrative makes a game AAAAAAA material to me. When done right, it's like living in a 3D book. Unlike movies and books (although I love books very much) in video games you can connect with characters on a whole new level.
These are the things I love off the top of my head. I also like discussing gaming
