If the most important thing was games WiiU would be number 1.
The announcement of Xbox One sold more PS4s than any game.
PS2 won because it was a dvd player.
PS2 didn't have any system selling quality games until just before the other 2 systems launched.

Halo is the only reason anyone even bought the first Xbox. Other than halo their launch line up was awful and it took them almost a year to get another game worth playing (KotOR).
Even WiiU (best current selection of games) has a lack luster line up compared to past systems.
Local multiplayer is better than online, but online is more convenient... or it would be if it weren't for technical issues and the fact that servers eventually die off.
Conduit 2 has the best online deathmatch you can play on the Wii.
Wanting to make games more like movies is dumb and ignores actual story telling advantages of games.
