So I finally got around to playing Shovel Knight on my my portable indie device, Vita.
So... its an okay game. I can appriciate taking ideas from old games and making something actually tolerable from them. But I don't get the hype. Its probably the most forumlaic game I've ever seen get this much praise. I feel like the only thing I really enjoyed about it was holding down to bounce on enemies. Without that the game would fall apart!
This game is like a 3/5 in my opinion. I mean its a somewhat enjoyable experience if you haven't gotten bored of being knocked of platforms yet.
On a side note, fuck this game. Rogue Legacy is better.
