Why isn't Fox, Falco, Crystal , and Wolf not in Mario Kart?

 well Sonic is a lot faster than Mario in running yet in M & S @ the Oly Games, Mario can often beat Sonic

So far, not from what I've seen. Only the other speed characters can. But, I will concede that due to the trailer. But I have a defense.........It was made by a 3rd party!
