DQ VIII being remade for 3DS and DQ X still not being on PS3/4 (though that could be a contractual thing) kinda goes against it though. On the other hand they've already announced a second Dragon Quest Heroes, so they seem to be happy with its performance and SE as a whole is extremely obviously putting a lot of eggs into the PS4 basket this gen (the eastern studios at least), so it would in a way make sense to put DQ XI on PS4 especially if Horii wants to make the next game for home consoles.

Certainly hope it'll be a PS4 game. A new classic DQ on the big screen? Sign me up for that. As a PS4 game the probability of it coming to the west would also be significantly larger.

Actually, if it comes to ps4, there is a higher chance for SE to release it WW. But if it's on wii U, there is a higher chance Nintendo pushes for a ww release (funding).

Not a single Dragon Quest game on 3DS has come to the west though, neither has DQ X, Nintendo doesn't seem to care too much.
