The Super Famicom would go on to be the dominant force in Japan until 1996 where it was overtaken by Pokemon and the Game Boy, as far as yearly software sales are concerned.
The Saturn and the PlayStation where also pretty even, selling about the same ammount of software in 1994, 1995 and 1996, PlayStation was selling more consoles, but Saturn owners were buying more games, nonetheless, the Super Famicom was still the one to push more software.
It wasn't until Final Fantasy VII that the PlayStation took over the homeconsole market and put the SFC to rest.
