What has been announced?

A lot of these games are also on the PS3 and Vita, but you could logically assume without the PS4 version they wouldn't have been released in the west on those consoles.

Dragon Quest Heroes. Now if this was any other publisher, this game would be released in the west, but this is Square Enix, the same publisher who refuses to release Dragon Quest 7 on the 3DS despite the great sales of Dragon Quest 9, the highest selling sales in the west. The company that bitched out on releasing Bravely Default and practically gave away a ton of money to Nintendo since they took the risk and made all those sales. They even have more faith in the PS4 version than PS3 as it's a cross gen title that's exclusive for PS4 in the west.

Dissidia. Announced officially that it'll come to PS4 shortly after the arcade announcement.

That one Suda 51. I think his games suck, but last gen was exclusive on the Wii, went multi console between PS3 and 360, now he has a PS4 exclusive. Had two but they got rid of Lily Bergamo.

J Stars Victory +. This is coming to the west for PS3,4, and Vita, but it all three version were announced together, long after the original version which was PS3 and Vita only was released in Japan.  Jump Super Stars and JUS were ignore on the better selling DS.  They have better expectations for PS4?

Nobunaga's Ambition Sphere of Influence. PS3 and HD remaster in Japan. No announcemt in west until the PS4 version.  Last game i the series to reease in the west was Iron Triangle on PS2.

Disgaea 5. PS4 exclusive.

Some Compile Heart garbage exclusives for PS4.

Akiba's Trip 2, Natural Doctrine, Persona 5, Koei MonHun, and Star Ocean 5 that launched together or are launching together with the PS3 or Vita versions.

Onechanabra was once Xbox exclusive, now PS4 exclusive.

Some visual novels.

There's no date on Dissidia,  Disgaea 5(which is likely this year, )Star Ocean 5, or the Suda 51 game, but the otheres already have orwill be released within a years time.  That's not counting the multi console stuff either, and it's a noticeable quantity and difference in time than when the PS3 started getting Japanese exclusives.  There's also games that haven't been announced but will likely come out. Earth Defense Force  on PS2 went exclusive to 360, then multi console, now exclusive for PS4.

*edit*  E3 is just around the corner with the other events later this year, these are just the ones we know have western releases.  There could be any number of games announced in the coming month and the possibilty of releasing this year.

Just saying there seems to be a lot more niche Japanese exclusives games releasing in one year on the PS4 than there was on the Vita and PS3 seperately each past year.
